A project of Depy Antoniou
in collaboration with Teodόra Rόka
“Sound Forest” is a social sound sculpture that aims to be enabled by natural interactive elements and human participation. Many metal leaves are attached and need to be attached on the installation. Key for the inspiration of this project was the term “Social Sculpture” by “Joseph Beuys” and his work of art, ‘7000 oaks’. Due to the fact that wind is a strong natural characteristic of The Netherlands the sound installation it is activated by itself. Sounds produced by metal parts blending with natural sounds at the Potmarge area.
Feel free to create your own acoustic experience by entering the Sound Forest, pulling the strings and attaching your own metal leaf on.
